Beyond your hotel lies a land of ancient civilisations, steeped in history: the world famous St Catherine’s Monastery with its priceless works of art, Cairo and the pyramids at Giza, and Luxor and the Valley of the Kings are just a short air flight away.

Here are some of the adventures and excursions available to our guests staying in Sharm el Sheikh. These excursions can be booked in the resort through reps.

Camel Ride and Bedouin Dinner

Experience the atmosphere of the Sinai Desert at sunset, including a camel ride, dinner and soft drinks. This is available on Tuesdays.

St Catherine’s Monastery and Dahab Bazaar:

Located at the foot of Mount Moses, St Catherine’s Monastery is built around what was thought to be Moses’ Burning Bush. It is a spectacular natural setting for priceless works of art including Arab mosaics, Greek and Russian icons and western oil paintings. The Monastery houses the largest collection of illuminated manuscripts after the Vatican.

Dahab is a laid back Red Sea resort with a beautiful golden sand beach and Bedouin-style restaurants and bars. Bargaining skills can be honed in the bustling bazaar. This is available on Thursdays and Saturdays.

One Day Cairo by Air

Visit the Pyramids at Giza, the Sphinx and Valley Temple, the Egyptian Museum and the Khan Khalili Bazaar. Price includes flights, transfers, sightseeing and lunch. This is available on Thursdays.

One Day Luxor by Air

Visit the Valley of the Kings, Terrace Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon, Karnak and Luxor Temples. Price includes flights, transfers, sightseeing and lunch. Wednesday.

Diving

Sharm el Sheikh is a world-class destination for diving where coral reefs teem with brightly coloured fish, the area provides an underwater wonderland for divers and snorkellers, beginners and experienced alike.
